The short version

YOU CAN'T RUN does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to external servers. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, and no tracking.

What stays on your device

This data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and never leaves your device unless you use Apple's own iCloud backup, which is controlled entirely by your Apple account settings.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, YOU CAN'T RUN writes workout data (duration, distance, calories, heart rate) to Apple Health. This data is stored in Health on your device. The app only writes data — it does not read Health data from other sources. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

Location

GPS location is used to draw your route on the map and calculate pace and distance during workouts. Location data is stored only as part of your workout history on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Apple Watch

Workout data is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using WatchConnectivity, Apple's framework for device-to-device communication. This sync happens directly between your devices and does not involve any servers.

In-app purchases

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. The app receives only a confirmation of subscription status — no payment details or billing information are ever shared with YOU CAN'T RUN.

No analytics, no advertising

The app contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no advertising networks, and no third-party code that collects data. There are no trackers of any kind.

Children

YOU CAN'T RUN is rated 4+ on the App Store. Because the app collects no data at all, there are no special considerations for users under 13.
